WIM Akshita Gorti

Akshita Gorti is a U.S. Chess prodigy who is the highest rated female chess player under 14 in the world. She holds the titles of Women’s International Master and Women’s FIDE Master.

Akshita was the U8 Female North American Youth Champion in 2010 and tied for 1st place in the U10 Female North American Youth Championship in 2011. While only 10 years old she won the Bronze medal in the U18 Female North American Youth Championships in 2013.

Akshita is the 2017 U.S. Junior Girls Chess Champion, the 2014 U.S. Junior Girls Co-Champion and placed second in the 2013 All-Girls U18 National Championship and in the 2013 All-Girl U18 National Blitz Championship.

Akshita started playing chess at the age of seven and is home-schooled.
